About us
A phone that gets answered, and a fitter who turns up.
That is the whole business. We answer calls 24 hours a day and send a local tyre fitter to wherever your car is, across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and South Wales.

What we are
Mobile Tyre Change is a small outfit, and we would rather be honest about that than pretend to be a national chain. We cover six counties in the south west of England and South Wales. We know the M4 between Newport and Newbury, the M5 from Cheltenham to Bristol, and the A-roads and estates in between, because that is where we spend our days and, often enough, our nights.
Since August 2026 we have done more than 300 jobs, about 19 a week. Roughly 57 in every 100 were booked in the evening or at the weekend, which tells you something about when tyres fail, and why the phone is answered when garages are shut.
How a job works
You call, and a person answers
At any hour. We take where the car is, the tyre size and what happened. If the phone is going flat, say so and we take the essentials first.
You hear a price and an arrival time
Usually 30 to 45 minutes. If it will be longer, you hear that before you decide, not after.
A deposit books it
A deposit books the job, by card link or bank transfer. The rest is paid to the fitter when the work is done.
A local fitter comes to the car
They call when they are close, do the job where the car stands, and take the old tyre away.
What we will not do
- Publish prices. Not because we are hiding them, but because the tyre is most of the bill and the same size can cost three times more in a premium brand. A list would be wrong for your car. A call takes two minutes.
- Promise a time we cannot keep. If 30 to 45 minutes is not realistic from where you are, you hear that on the call.
- Come out just to remove a locking wheel nut. We do it as part of a tyre change, not on its own.
- Fit tyres on caravans or motorhomes. Cars and vans, including twin-wheel tippers, yes.
- Recover vehicles. If the car needs towing, that is a different phone call, and we will say so.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on this site comes from our own job sheet: the number of jobs, the share booked out of hours, the postcodes on the town pages. The call-outs described on the area pages are real jobs, written up in our own words, with nothing that would identify the customer. We update them as the sheet grows. If a town has no stories yet, it is because we have not done enough jobs there to tell any, not because we made some up.

What the fitter brings

Why we are this blunt
Someone on a hard shoulder at eleven at night is deciding, in a few seconds, whether a stranger on the phone is real. Adjectives do not help with that. Facts do. So this site tries to say what we do, where, how long it takes and what happens next, and then get out of the way so you can call.
