Emergency tyre fitting
Stuck with a flat tyre?
Tell us where you are. A fitter brings the tyre to the car, usually within 30 to 45 minutes, on A-roads, in car parks, at work and at home across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and South Wales. On a motorway, get safe first, then call, and we will tell you how we can reach you.

What to tell us
Four things. Have them ready and the call takes about two minutes.
Where the car is
The road, the nearest junction or landmark, and which way you were heading. A postcode if you are parked. If you have signal, we will ask you to share your phone's location while we are talking.
The tyre size
Three numbers on the side of the tyre, like 205/55 R16. The other tyres have it too, if the flat one is hard to read.
Whether you have the locking wheel nut key
Usually in the glovebox or with the spare wheel. If it is missing, say so, and the fitter brings a removal tool.
Anything else that changes what we bring
A spare wheel in the boot, sealant you have already used, a run-flat, a loaded van. None of it is a problem. All of it is worth a sentence.
What happens next
You hear a price and an arrival time
Usually 30 to 45 minutes. If it will be longer, because of where you are or the hour, you hear that now, not after you have booked.
You pay a deposit and the fitter sets off
By card link or bank transfer, while we are on the phone. A text confirms the booking, so you know it is real.
The fitter finds you and fits the tyre
At the roadside, with the car where it stopped. You pay the balance to the fitter and the old tyre goes with them.
While you wait
- Stay behind the barrier, or well away from the road, until the fitter arrives. The fitter will call you when they are close.
- Keep your phone charged. If the battery is going, tell us on the first call and we will take everything we need straight away.
- Do not stand behind the car, and do not try to change the wheel yourself at the side of a fast road.
- If you are in a live lane and cannot get out safely, keep your seatbelt on and call 999. We would rather be your second call.
Three things we will not pretend
- We fit tyres. We do not recover vehicles, so if the car needs towing, that is a different phone call.
- A new tyre will not fix a bent or cracked wheel. If that is what the fitter finds, they will tell you straight.
- We cannot beat the traffic. If 30 to 45 minutes is not realistic from where you are, you will hear that on the call.
Roadside call-outs, lately
From our own records, in our own words, with nothing that identifies the driver.

Stranded on the ring road, unsure of the tyre size
VW Polo · 195/55 R16
A driver called from the side of the A4174 with a flat tyre. He did not know his tyre size or exactly where he was, so we stayed on the phone, talked him through reading the size off the side of the tyre and had him share his location from his phone. With both confirmed, a fitter was sent to him at the roadside.

Blowout on the A417
Ford Transit · 215/65 R16C
A Transit driver had a blowout on the A417. He shared his location over WhatsApp so the fitter could find him on the dual carriageway, and the van tyre was replaced at the roadside.

Tyre coming off the wheel on the A419
Ford Fiesta · 205/40 R17
A Ford Fiesta driver was on the A419 near Cirencester with the tyre coming off the wheel. We took the tyre size, he sent a pin of his location by message, and a fitter went out to him.

Flat tyre in an A34 lay-by
Peugeot 207 · 195/55 R16
A Peugeot 207 had a flat tyre in a lay-by on the A34 on a Friday evening. We confirmed the tyre size and where the lay-by was by WhatsApp, and sent a fitter to the roadside.
Questions people ask from the roadside
How quickly can you get to me?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes from the call, anywhere in the six counties we cover. If it will be longer, because of where you are or the time of night, you hear that on the call, not after you have booked.
I don't know my tyre size. Can you still help?
Yes. The size is printed on the side of the tyre: three numbers such as 205/55 R16. The other tyres have it too, if the flat one is hard to read. If you cannot get to it, stay on the line and we will talk you through it, or ask you to send a photo while we are on the phone.
What areas do you cover?
Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and South Wales. Twenty-four towns have their own page, with the roads we cover and recent call-outs. If your postcode is not on one of them, call anyway and we will say yes or no in one go.
How do I pay?
A deposit books the job, by card link or bank transfer. The rest is paid to the fitter when the work is done.
How do you find me at the roadside?
Tell us the road, the nearest junction or landmark, and which way you were heading. If you have signal, we will ask you to share your phone's location while we are talking, so the fitter gets a pin rather than a description.
Can I drive on a run-flat with the warning light on?
For a short way. Most makers allow about 50 miles at no more than 50 mph once the tyre has lost pressure, and that is for getting somewhere safe, not for carrying on with your week. Note roughly how far you have driven, because it decides whether the tyre can be saved.
What if the wheel is damaged, not just the tyre?
A new tyre will not fix a bent or cracked wheel. The fitter will tell you straight if that is what they find, and what your options are. We do not recover vehicles.
Can you fit a spare wheel, or tyres I've already bought?
Yes to both. We have fitted customers' own spare wheels at the roadside and tyres they bought online at home. Tell us on the call so the fitter brings the right tools and does not bring a tyre you do not need.
My locking wheel nut key is missing. Can you still change the tyre?
Usually, yes. If we are changing a tyre, the fitter removes the locking nut as part of the job. Tell us when you book so they bring the removal tool, and we will say before setting off whether we can do yours. We do not come out just to remove locking nuts.
